Who I am makes a difference

During a game of Taboo last night, we all learnt a couple of things. For the uninitiated, Taboo is a game where you describe a given word to your teammates without saying out some listed clue words. You'll see people going through all extent to get their messages across.

Here are some examples:
Word: Napoleon
K's description: A Gurkha warrior from Nepal

Word: Easter
W's description: Something near the Christmas period where you paint something (eggs was a clueword)

Word: Goldilocks
J's description: A drink (He thought the word was Horlicks)
p/s: Although we checked, Goldilocks is actually a rum based cocktail.. so he's not totally wrong..)

Word: Sprout
J's description: Jack and the Bean _____________
p/s: Had a good laugh when we told him that Jack actually climbed a beanstalk and certainly did not picked taugeh when running away from the giant... Although there is a local play with the same title..)

Word: Bloom
E's description: Flowers ___________
p/s: After we guessed bloom, K commented "Aiyah, should have just said we sweep with a _______"

Word: Security
E's description: The Malay guy at the building is a ____________ guard
p/s: Haha.. I asked E... "MUST be malay meh?" hahha..to which I added "The Malay guy is there because the Chinese guy is breaking in mah..."

Shortly after,

Word: Burglar
C's description: The Chinese guy is a __________

I woke up to the new year to an sms which I never wanted to read.

I knew you since I was 17. That was like 13 years ago... (I was seventeen and you were Sunshine) and although we were not very close through these years, funny how small this world is, such that everyone has at least a common link.

I was at my lowest when u saw me last. and no matter how hard you went through it, you made sure I was alright when I was going thru the same thing. That was the most lasting impression I have... and for that, no amount of thanks will ever be enough.

I logged into msn this morning after hearing the news and got a viral msg from you. I guess all your contacts would have received the same and they would not have minded. Morbid as it may seem, I'll look at it as you reaching out to us for the last time before you leave...

A simple gift to all my friends and loved ones. A little pitchy here and there... but enjoy it nevertheless yeah? Merry Christmas!
